Crochet Little Mermaid ( 小美人魚的做法 )

( Little mermaids dream come true ~ )

Size 尺寸 : 26 cm height, 6 cm width

Materials (準備材料)

1. Hook : 3mm ( based on your yarn size )

2. Yarn color :

( it depends on which mermaid you prefer ^^)

• 3mm Blue or orange yarn 1 roll (hair)
• Light Pink or flesh color yarn 1 roll (body)
• 3mm (Purple & dark purple) or ( light green & blue green ) yarn 1 roll each (fish tail)
• A few 2mm green or purple yarn for her cloth

3. Stuffing, scissors, safety eyes, sewing needles

4. Plastic Pearls for decorating hair

Abbreviations 縮寫 :

環形起針 ( 針數 ) = ring ( loop with 1sc x 6 )

一針 = 1 st ( stitch )

1 鎖針 = ch 1 ( chain )

引拔針 = sl st ( slip stitch )

重複 = Re ( repeat )

短針 = sc ( single crochet )

中長針 = hdc ( half double crochet )

長針 = dc ( double crochet )

2針併1針 = sc2tog

1目織2針 = 2sc in 1st

只織後半目 = Blo ( back loop only )

只織前半目 = FLO ( front loop only )

綁緊結束 = f/o ( fasten off )

Gauge is not critical for this project.

1. Ch 4, crochet from the second ch from the hook

2. 1sc 2 times, 2sc 3 times( right, middle, to the opposite side ), 1 sc 2 times, 3sc 1 times ( left side ) ( 13 sc )

3. BLO, 1sc 13 times ( 13 sc )

4. 1sc 2 times, sc2tog 3 times, 1sc 5 times ( 10 sc )

5. 1sc 2 times, sc2tog 3 times, 1sc 2 times ( 7 sc ), fill with a few cotton

6. ~ 12. 1sc in each st around ( 7 sc ), f/o, hide the tail

Body & head 身體 & 頭  pink or flesh color

Round#

1. Flattened the two legs & join them from the medial middle with pin

2. Start from the medial middle of the Row 12 of the leg ( from inside of the leg )

3. Put two legs together and crochet a full circle ( 14 sc )

4. 1sc in each st around ( 14sc )

5. 2sc in 1st 2 times, 1sc 10 times, 2sc in 1st 2 times ( 18 sc )

6. 1sc in each st around ( 18sc )

7. [ 1sc + 2sc ] 2 times, 1sc 10 times, [ 1sc + 2sc ] 2 times ( 22 sc )

8. 1sc in each st around ( 22sc )

9. [ 1sc + sc2tog ] 2 times, 1sc 10 times, [ 1sc + sc2tog ] 2 times ( 18 sc )

10. 1sc in each st around ( 18sc )

11. [ 1sc + sc2tog ] 6 times ( 12 sc ), fill with cotton

12. Sc2tog 6 times ( 6 sc )

1. Ring ( 5 sc )

2. ~ 10. 1sc in each st around ( 5 sc )

11. Sew it to Rnd#12 of the body

Heart - shaped corset 心型胸衣 ( green or purple, use 2mm yarn, make 2 pcs heart )

1. Ch 2 ring , crochet from the second st of the hook, crochet inside the ring

2. 1sc 1 time + ch2 + 1dc 4 times+1hdc 3 times + ch2+1hdc 3 times+1dc 4 times + sl st in the 1^st 1sc

3. Put the needle go through the middle of the heart, pull the yarn, finish & tie tight in the bottom of the heart

4. Sew the two hearts together, chain 13 to connect both side and help mermaid to put it on.

Heart - shaped grass skirt 心型草裙 ( green or purple, use 3mm yarn, make 4 pcs )

1. Ch 2 ring , crochet from the second st of the hook, crochet inside the ring

2. 1sc 1 time + ch2 + 1dc 4 times+1hdc 3 times + ch2+1hdc 3 times+1dc 4times+sl st in the 1^st 1sc

3. Put the needle go through the middle of the heart, pull the yarn, finish & tie tight in the bottom of the heart

4. join the 4 hearts together by sewing, and help mermaid to put it on.

Hair 頭髮 Blue or orange

Round#

1. Ring ( 6 sc )

2. [2sc in 1^st ] 6 times ( 12 sc )

3. [ 1sc + 2sc ] 6 times ( 18 sc )

4. [ 1sc 2 times + 2sc ] 6 times ( 24 sc )

5. [ 1sc 3 times + 2sc ] 6 times ( 30 sc )

6. Now we change to make chains

• Back of the head : [ ch 35 + 1sc in each st ] 16 pcs 
• Left side : [ ch 45 + 1sc in each st ] 2 pcs ; Right side : [ ch 45 + 1sc in each st ] 2 pcs
• Left : [ ch 20 + 1sc in each st ] 1 pc ; Right : [ ch 20 + 1sc in each st ] 1 pc
• Left : [ ch 15 + 1sc in each st ] 1 pc ; Right : [ ch 15 + 1sc in each st ] 1 pc
• Left : [ ch 10 + 1 sc in each st ] 1 pc ; Right : [ ch 10 + 1 sc in each st ] 1 pc
• Forehead : [ ch 7 + 1 sc in each st ] 4 pcs
• Feel free to adjust the length for your preference

7. Glue or sew the hair on the head and shape you style ( I glued them.. ^^)

8. I decorated with a string of pearls, because little mermaid is the daughter of the sea! ^^

Here comes the little girl.

Fish tail ( Easy to Wear off ) 可穿脫的魚尾裝 ( Purple + dark purple ) or ( light green + blue green )

Round# ( I use light green )

1. Ch 25

2. 1sc in each st 24 times ( 24 sc )

3. Make a ring ( join the head & the tail ), 1sc in each st ( 24 sc )

4. ~ 18. 1sc in each st around ( 24 sc )

19  Sc2 tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 12 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times ( 21 sc )

20  1sc in each st ( 21 sc )

21  Sc2 tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 9 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times ( 18 sc )

22  1sc in each st ( 18 sc )

23  Sc2 tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 6 times, sc2tog 1 time, 1sc 3 times ( 15 sc )

24  1sc in each st ( 15 sc )

Beautify the top of the fish tail ( blue green or dark purple )

1. Change to blue green, 1^sc in each st from the middle of the Rnd# 1 of the fish tail ( 24 sc )

2. ( FLO ) 1sc 3 times, 1hdc 18 times, 1sc 3 times ( 24 sc ), f/o, hide the tail

3. Sew a pearl in the middle of the fish tail

Fins of tail 魚鰭 ( 2 pcs )

1. Ring ( 6 sc )

2. [ 1sc + 2sc ] 3 times ( 9 sc )

3. 1sc in each st around ( 9 sc )

4. [ 1sc 2 times + 2sc ] 3 times ( 12 sc )

5. 1sc in each st around ( 12 sc )

6. [ 1sc 3 times + 2sc ] 3 times ( 15 sc )

7. 1sc in each st around ( 15 sc )

8. [ 1sc 4 times + 2sc ] 3 times ( 18 sc )
